It is an essential condition of participation in the program that the earning of LATAM Pass Miles, Qualifying Points and Qualifying Segments is carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions of this program and in full compliance with applicable regulations.
2.16 The membership card and password are valid for the personal and exclusive use of the member and its transfer or granting to another person is prohibited. In case of unauthorized use of the membership card or password, it is the responsibility of the card holder to immediately notify LATAM Airlines. Members will be solely responsible for any use made of their membership card or password until LATAM Airlines is notified of unauthorized use. It is expressly stated that LATAM Airlines cannot be held responsible for fraud or unauthorized redemptions made with the member’s password or for modifications or alterations that are made without the member's consent.
3.1 The participation of a member in the LATAM Pass program will end immediately or until LATAM Airlines considers it necessary in the following cases:
3.1.1 If the member fails to comply with any of the terms and conditions referred to herein, or if the use of the LATAM Pass program or the earning of LATAM Pass Miles is conducted in violation of any applicable law or regulations.
3.1.2 If the member knowingly gives any incorrect or erroneous information (including flight information), either in the application for membership or at the time of requesting the corresponding prizes and/or benefits.
3.1.3 If the member does not comply with the conditions of the passenger transport contract (which apply to all passengers).
3.1.4 If the member makes inappropriate or improper use of LATAM Pass Miles, Qualifying Points, Qualifying Segments, prizes and/or benefits delivered.
3.1.5 If the member has an overdue debt for which LATAM Airlines, or any of its affiliated or related companies is a creditor, or if there are indications or presumptions of the member's participation in crimes committed against such companies, such as the fraudulent return of checks, or other.
3.1.6 Due to the member's death.
3.1.7 In all cases in which, in the opinion of LATAM Airlines, the member has committed an illegal act or an irregularity contrary to the guidelines of the LATAM Pass Regulations.
3.2 In the case of termination of participation in the LATAM Pass program or its termination, whatever the cause, all earned LATAM Pass Miles, Qualifying Points, Qualifying Segments, will be canceled and may not be used under any circumstances, nor may they be transferred or redeemed for tickets and/or money.
4.1 Gold, Gold Plus, Platinum, Black and Black Signature membership cards are valid according to the details of the program in the LATAM Pass section, which can be modified according to the stipulations in paragraph 5. For all purposes of these Regulations, the "calendar year" is from January 1 to December 31 of each year.
4.2 All LATAM Pass (Black Signature, Black, Platinum and Gold) member cards are available in digital format. They are personal and non-transferable and benefits are only granted to their holders unless indicated to the contrary in the specific terms and conditions for a benefit and/or reward. Members will be able to use the benefits associated with their status as a Program Partner as long as they have that status.
4.3 The membership card is not a credit card, nor a document that proves identity, and therefore grants no other rights than those indicated in these Regulations.
5.1 The LATAM Pass program has six membership categories, in ascending order (according to the level of preference and benefits that each category grants): (a) LATAM, (b) Gold, (c) Gold Plus, (d) Platinum, (e) Black, and (f) Black Signature. The membership card is 100% digital and can be downloaded and printed on the LATAM Pass website. It can also be found in the LATAM Airlines app available on Google Play and the App Store.
5.2 The inclusion of the Members in the different categories of Members that are available under the LATAM Pass Program, are determined by a Member's compliance with the requirements established to integrate each category. In the case of Chile, these requirements are described on the landing page available for this purpose at the following link.
5.3 LATAM Pass Miles earned in the associated airlines or partner companies will not be counted to determine a member category (unless expressly indicated otherwise). Nor will Qualifying Segments obtained with courtesy coupons for Cabin Upgrade be considered, either for the use of the benefits, for the purchase of these with LATAM Pass Miles or another modality not established in this paragraph.
To be categorized within an Elite Member Category, only the Qualifying Points and Qualifying Segments that the Member has will be counted.
5.4 Likewise, the legs flown using a Prize or any other ticket that does not qualify to earn LATAM Pass Miles will not be counted to determine a member category. These include, but are not limited to, the following: any ticket issued as a LATAM Pass prize or other free ticket promotions, including reduced or free fare tickets, companions’ tickets, charter tickets; discounted tickets for travel agents or industry employees; infant tickets; tickets purchased for items that occupy a seat; tickets with unpublished rates, including consolidation fees; and tickets issued subject to special provisions.
5.5 Once each and every one of the conditions required to qualify in a category of superior member is met, said member will be included in said category and will remain in it for the remaining period of the corresponding calendar year, in which the required conditions have been met, and during the next immediate calendar year.
5.6 If members do not meet the requirements to renew their category, the following year they will belong to the category immediately prior to the one they belonged to, even if they do not meet the requirements to qualify for it.
5.7 Renewals will be made on March 31 of each year, in consideration of the requirements fulfilled by members in the previous calendar year.
5.8 LATAM Airlines may maintain or upgrade the status of members, even when not in compliance with all requirements, but members can never be downgraded from their category, provided that the requirements established to remain in it are complied with.
5.9 Changes in the member category will not affect the balance of LATAM Pass Miles redeemable for Prizes and vice versa.
5.10 Courtesy coupons for Cabin Upgrades and benefits granted for fulfilling conditions in associated companies may not be accumulated with courtesy coupons for Cabin Upgrades and benefits granted to Elite category members, unless expressly stated otherwise.
5.11 The benefits provided to reach a new Elite category may not be accumulated with benefits of the previous category. This applies for each and every one of the benefits, including courtesy coupons for a Cabin Upgrade.
6.1 LATAM Pass Miles is the name given to the Program currency, which allows you to earn points in the LATAM Pass program and redeem them for airline tickets or other services.
6.1.1. You will accumulate LATAM Pass Miles according to the multiplier rate of your membership category and the value of your ticket in United States of America dollars, discounting additional fees, taxes and services.
6.1.2. For flights on Associated Airlines, the value will be calculated according to the miles of your trip and the fare class of your ticket.
6.1.3. LATAM Pass Miles can also be accumulated at participating companies and financial institutions. The earning in these cases will be carried out according to the particular terms that LATAM Airlines agrees with these entities.
6.2 LATAM Pass Miles have the following characteristics and are subject to the following terms:
6.2.1 They don't have any commercial value, are non negotiable and cannot be exchanged for money.
6.2.2 They are transferable, according to the stipulations in number 7 of these Regulations.
6.2.3 They are not transferable, therefore, in the event of the member's death, the account and the LATAM Pass Miles accumulated in it will be canceled.
6.2.4 They are non-seizable since their use is fully personal, except if the law or a court order deems otherwise.
6.2.5 They are not the subject of any legal dispute or any judicial measure and only belong to the member holding the account, as a personal right.
6.2.6 The prizes may not be endorsed and cannot be used in companies other than LATAM Airlines, or Associated Airlines and / or associated companies, or by other people than those designated by the member, according to the prize redeemed. Once a prize ticket has been issued, it may only be used on the airline indicated therein.
6.3. Qualifying Points have the following characteristics and are subject to the following terms:
6.3.1 They don't have any commercial value, are non negotiable and cannot be exchanged for money.
6.3.2 They are nontransferable.
6.3.3 They are not transferable, therefore, in the event of the death of the member, the account and the earned Qualifying Points will be canceled.
6.3.4 They are non-seizable since their use is fully personal, except if the law or court order deems otherwise.
6.3.5 They are not the subject of any legal dispute or any judicial measure and only belong to the member holding the account, as a personal right.
7.1 The terms relating to the charges, conditions, operation and responsibilities applicable to the transfer of LATAM Pass Miles will be defined exclusively in the terms and conditions, and which the members will be informed of at the time they access the online transfer platform, and which these members must read and accept before making the transaction.
7.2 Notwithstanding the above, and except when expressly excepted, all transfer of LATAM Pass Miles will have a charge for transfer management service that will be paid by the respective member, according to the terms and conditions indicated on the platform. These costs are not refundable.
7.3 The transferred LATAM Pass Miles can only be transferred and received between LATAM Pass accounts that have been established for at least 3 business days. Each member is limited to transfer of a maximum of LATAM Pass Miles from their account and no recipient can receive more LATAM Pass Miles transferred from another LATAM Pass program account or from a combination of accounts in a calendar year, according to the limits established in our website. All LATAM Pass Miles that exceed this limit will not be transferred from the member's account nor will they be credited to the account of any recipient.
7.4 Any inappropriate use of the LATAM Pass Miles, or of the transfer platform, according to these Regulations and the terms and conditions published on the transfer platform, or any incorrect use of LATAM Pass Miles, will be grounds for immediate confiscation and loss of such LATAM Pass Miles, and may be the reason for the loss of the total LATAM Pass Miles from the account of the member and their removal from the LATAM Pass program, without prejudice to the other actions and rights applicable in accordance with the law and these Regulations.
7.5 The minimum transfer of LATAM Pass Miles is stated on our website. The transferred LATAM Pass Miles can be used in any of the LATAM Pass rewards or benefits, in accordance with the general rules. However, such LATAM Pass Miles will not be counted for purposes of determining the member category to which the respective member belongs, nor will they imply any activity in the account of the person transferring or receiving the LATAM Pass Miles, for purposes of their expiration.
7.6 All transferred LATAM Pass Miles last between 3 years and 2 years 1 day. This will depend exclusively on the date when the transfer is conducted. The period in which the transfer is made is counted as the first year; for example, if the LATAM Pass Miles were transferred between January and December 2020, they will expire on December 31, 2022.
7.7 It is forbidden to receive or give, directly or indirectly, any object, value, interest, or any favor, in exchange for the transfer of LATAM Pass Miles. Likewise, if any of the LATAM Pass Miles are resold, distributed, transferred for any reason (in the form of payment or otherwise), or used for undue purposes as determined by the sole and absolute discretion of LATAM Airlines, or if any transfer is carried out through the abuse or fraudulent use of a credit card, or by any other illegal means, LATAM Airlines may, at its discretion, cancel, annul, refuse to validate and/or reverse said transferred LATAM Pass Miles and exercise all available rights and resources. You agree that LATAM Airlines may debit your account or the account to which you transferred the LATAM Pass Miles in connection with the above. You agree to cooperate fully with all reasonable requests of LATAM Airlines related to any investigation or prosecution of any person who participates, or is suspected of participating, in abuse or fraud regarding the transferring of LATAM Pass Miles as stipulated in these Regulations.
7.8 All charges paid by the member for the transfer of LATAM Pass Miles according to these Regulations, and the terms and conditions provided when registering on the online transfer platform, will include all applicable taxes and fees.
7.9 The transfer of LATAM Pass Miles can generate tax implications for both the transferor and the member who receives them in their account, it is therefore recommended that members consult with their tax advisers, prior to any transfer. LATAM Airlines will not be responsible for any contingency or tax burden that could be generated to members through the transfer of LATAM Pass Miles.
7.10 In the event that LATAM Airlines detects any fraud, default on the payment of transfer charges, excess of the limits of LATAM Pass Miles transferred, or any other breach of these Regulations, or of the terms and conditions established in the online platform, it may revoke, and immediately reverse any transfer, without prejudice to other actions and rights that proceed in accordance with the law and these Regulations.
7.11 Notwithstanding the above, all LATAM Pass Miles transfer transactions are final. Once a transaction is completed, members cannot reverse it or leave it without effect, or cancel the transfer fee.
8.1 LATAM Pass Miles will be credited when members travel on LATAM Airlines, or Associated Airlines, as long as they are flights operated by these airlines, or members make use of the services enabled by any of the associated companies. If a member belongs to the LATAM Pass program, and at the same time to the LATAM Airlines Brasil frequent flyer program, or of an Associated Airline or associated company, LATAM Pass Miles can only be credited to one of the accounts, at the preference of the member. LATAM Pass Miles may not be credited to more than one account. The member must provide their membership number to earn LATAM Pass Miles.
8.1.1 Qualifying Points and Qualifying Segments will be credited when a member travels on flights marketed or marketed by LATAM Airlines.
8.2 For the earning of LATAM Pass Miles, any flight operated by any airline within the framework of a codeshare agreement with LATAM Airlines, with a ticket sold by LATAM Airlines using its own flight code, provided it has been carried out with a rate, route and date that allow the earning of LATAM Pass Miles, will be considered valid. In addition, the shared flight operator must have an agreement for earning miles in accordance with the LATAM Pass frequent flyer program.
8.3 In regard to restrictions established by the Associated Airlines, the method and quantity of LATAM Pass Miles accumulated for flights made on these will not necessarily coincide with those established by LATAM Airlines for their flights, and will depend on the restrictions of the fare class paid and the conditions set for this associated airline. There may be fare classes or flights that allow earning of only a percentage of the distance flown, or other restrictions. It will be up to the member to determine the LATAM Pass Miles to accumulate for the flights they make with Associated Airlines. This information will be available on our website.
8.4 Flights marketed by third-party airlines that do not have a frequent flyer agreement with LATAM Airlines do not accumulate LATAM Pass Miles, regardless of the flight operator. You also cannot earn LATAM Pass Miles on flights marketed by associated airlines operated by other companies who do not have a Frequent Flyer agreement with LATAM Airlines.
8.5 You can only accrue credit for miles flown before registering on the condition that the flights were sold by LATAM Airlines no more than 60 days before the date of registration.
8.6 LATAM Pass Miles will be accounted for in the account of the member only once the trip has been made and the respective ticket has been paid for. LATAM Pass Miles will not be earned for tickets purchased but not flown or not paid for. In view of the above, members must keep and deliver, if required, documents that prove the flight was taken (ticket and boarding pass).
8.7 LATAM Pass Miles generated by services provided by Associated Airlines or associated companies will be credited to the member's account only once the respective Associated Airline or associated company submits the information required by LATAM Airlines for such credit.
8.8 Members have up to 365 days from the date that the flight was taken to apply for retrospective accreditation if this flight has not been accredited in their account, with the exception of Malaysia Airlines (MH) and Iberia, which is up to 180 days. The request must be made through our website.
8.9 LATAM Pass Miles whose accreditation is requested retroactively by members, will be registered and displayed in the member’s Account Statement when credited, on the date they were actually flown. However, to qualify in any of the Elite categories, these retroactively accredited Qualifying Points and Qualifying Segments will be relative only for the calendar year corresponding to the date in which a member requested retrospective accreditation.
8.10 For Partner Companies, members have up to 180 days from the date on which the service was provided by the company to apply for retrospective accreditation if this activity has not been accredited in their account. The retrospective earning will only apply to registered customers, and will not apply to those who were not LATAM Pass members on the flight date or date of purchase. For some partner companies, applications for the retrospective accreditation of LATAM Pass Miles will only be processed if members submit certain documents proving that the service was provided. Companies requiring documents and those documents required for accreditation are listed on the LATAM Airlines website. With some of our alliances with banks or telecommunication companies, accreditation must be requested directly from each company. Read the full details of the companies linked to this scheme and their contact information.
8.11 The LATAM Pass Miles accumulated by flights on partner airlines correspond to the distance between the points of origin and destination of the flight, distances that are established by IATA. Notwithstanding the above, and as a temporary or permanent measure, LATAM Airlines may discount the distance between the origin and destination points by awarding additional LATAM Pass Miles. This information is available in the Flying with LATAM Airlines section on the LATAM Airlines website.
8.12 Any LATAM Pass Miles accumulated in associated companies correspond to their report to LATAM Airlines, and LATAM Airlines is not responsible for calculating the amount paid.
8.13 LATAM Pass Miles accumulated per flight on LATAM Airlines will be valid for 36 consecutive months after the date of the flight. They will effectively expire on the last day of the month of expiration.
8.14 Any LATAM Pass Miles accumulated per flight on Associated Airlines or partner companies that are used on any of the services of partner companies or promotional bonuses, are valid for 3 calendar years, which means they expire on December 31 of the third year after the one in which they were accumulated.
8.15 Each time a passenger flies on LATAM Airlines and accumulates 1 or more LATAM Pass Miles for the flight, all the current LATAM Pass Miles accumulated in this passenger's account up to the date of said flight are automatically renewed, becoming valid for 36 consecutive months from the date of the aforementioned flight, and will effectively expire on the last day of the thirty-sixth month. Only flights marketed by LATAM Airlines will be considered valid.
8.16 It is not the responsibility of LATAM Airlines to inform members of the expiration date of LATAM Pass Miles, according to the expiration rules indicated here.
8.17 LATAM Pass program rewards used to fly on LATAM Airlines or Associated Airlines, as well as rewards corresponding to services from partner companies, do not accumulate LATAM Pass Miles, nor will they count in order to upgrade to any of the Elite member categories.
8.18 Tickets issued as a LATAM Pass prize or other free ticket promotions do not allow the earning of LATAM Pass Miles, Qualifying Points or Qualifying Segments. This also applies to reduced or free fare tickets, companions’ tickets, charter flights tickets; discounted tickets for travel agents or industry employees; infant tickets; tickets purchased for items that occupy a seat; tickets with unpublished rates, including consolidation fees; and tickets issued subject to special provisions.
8.19 Tickets that permit earning endorsed to other companies by LATAM Airlines will accumulate the equivalent LATAM Pass Miles, as if they had effectively been flown on LATAM Airlines, only in the case of unforeseen circumstances, which means an event for which the passenger is not responsible. Tickets that permit earning endorsed by Associated Airlines, or third parties that do not have a Frequent Flyer agreement with LATAM Airlines, will not accumulate LATAM Pass Miles.
8.20 Cabin upgrades obtained as a reward or other than by payment for a LATAM flight or on any of the Associated Airlines will only accumulate in the LATAM Pass Miles account corresponding to the class paid for by the member, and not to the class to which the member was upgraded, and upgrades will not be considered for the purpose of upgrading to any of the Elite member categories.
8.21 It will be the sole responsibility of members to verify that the LATAM Pass Miles corresponding to their flights on LATAM Airlines and / or Associated Airlines, as well as those from services of the associated companies, are correctly credited to their account. In the case of Iberia flights, members must keep their flight documents (boarding passes, receipt of the flight ticket), in order to claim retrospective accreditation of LATAM Pass Miles, since they will be required at the time of the request. In no case may LATAM Pass Miles be accumulated after one year of the flight or condition from which they were accumulated, unless associated companies allow it for LATAM Pass Miles awarded by them.
8.22 LATAM Airlines reserves the right to audit members’ accounts at any time and without prior notice, in order to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions. LATAM Airlines may deduct the LATAM Pass Miles unduly credited to members, as well as delay the delivery of prizes or certificates while any discrepancy is resolved. These members must be informed of this action.
8.23 In the event that flights and / or services that enable the earning of LATAM Pass Miles are purchased on credit, or their payment is deferred in terms of time, members may redeem a prize using LATAM Pass Miles, corresponding to the purchased ticket or any other, only when the respective tickets are paid in the manner and time agreed, at the time of purchasing the flight and / or service.
8.24 It will be the sole responsibility of members to comply with the law and regulations that may be applicable for their participation in the LATAM Pass program and the earning of LATAM Pass Miles, especially with respect to those members who are public employees.
8.25 The earning of LATAM Pass Miles is personal and non-transferable. Only flights that the account-holder has taken will be accredited, excluding trips taken by third-parties.
8.26 For your LATAM flights, the accreditation time for LATAM Pass Miles is 7 days after the trip is made.
9.1 Ticket Redemption
9.1.1 LATAM Pass Miles required to claim a reward and/or benefit vary depending on the type of reward and/or benefit that members would like to redeem. Regarding reward tickets, it is possible to redeem points for tickets in Economy, Premium Economy and Premium Business, with varying reward levels for each cabin. For Associated Airlines, there is only one reward level available in all classes.
9.1.2 Upgrades with LATAM Pass Miles can only be requested for Premium Business and Premium Economy classes. Valid for flights operated and marketed by LATAM Airlines.
9.1.3 For each type of reward there is limited availability of seats.
9.1.4 Domestic flights within Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador redeemed with LATAM Pass Miles do not include free checked hold baggage.
9.1.5 To request a prize and / or benefit, members must comply with the terms and channels applicable to each prize and / or benefit, which may require calling our Contact Center (LATAM Pass option), going to our website, contacting our sales offices or travel agencies, or going to the office of a third party. In all cases, members must show a document proving their identity. They must register on our website by entering a user ID and password.
9.1.6 For the redeeming of prizes through the Contact Center (LATAM Pass option), sales offices or travel agencies, members must pay the LATAM Pass Service Charge for each ticket issued. If the reward is redeemed through our website, the LATAM Pass Service Charge does not apply. The LATAM Pass Service Charge is in addition to the applicable boarding fees and taxes and will vary depending on the type of reward redeemed and the country of issue, as detailed in the LATAM Pass fees and fines section published on our website.
9.1.7 The redemption of LATAM Pass Miles and / or issue of rewards may have a Booking Fee, the fee is a cost associated with the redemption of an Award ticket purchased with LATAM Pass Miles, excluding taxes. The fee must be paid in cash by the customer at the moment of purchase. The fee may vary depending on the origin and destination chosen by the customer and depending on how far in advance the purchase is made.
9.1.8 If some of the routes offered by LATAM Airlines or Associated Airlines are not available for reward redemption through our website, the LATAM Pass Service Charge will not be applied when the redeeming is made through our Contact Center or sales offices.
9.1.9 A person other than the member can request a reward by presenting an authorization signed by the member containing the following information: member’s full name, account number and/or Chilean Tax ID number (RUT), and description of which reward is being requested. In addition, a photocopy of a document that verifies the member’s identity (ID document or similar or passport) should be attached. This documentation should be presented via the corresponding channel in accordance with the terms that apply to this particular reward and/or benefit.
9.1.10 For the redeeming of prizes for children or infants, there are no special discounts, so the prize will have a sole valuation regardless of the age of the member or beneficiary of the prize that is redeemed.
9.1.11 Prizes are valid for one year (12 months) starting on their date of issue, and expire immediately after that period.
9.1.12 International air ticket prizes are roundtrip flights. No "oneway" rewards are redeemed on international routes, nor will members be allowed to board the leg corresponding to the return flight if they have not flown the leg corresponding to the outbound flight. If a member uses the reward only in the outbound leg, the balance of LATAM Pass Miles will not be refunded for the unused return leg.
The only exception to the above is in the case of rewards consisting of national air tickets that can be awarded for "oneway"
9.1.13 For Associated Airlines, rewards can only combine LATAM Airlines flights with flights from only just of these Associated Airlines.
9.1.14 Upgrades can be redeemed for a oneway trip (only for the outbound leg or for the return leg) or for a return trip.
9.1.15 It is the member's responsibility to review the number of LATAM Pass Miles required to redeem a certain reward on LATAM Airlines flights and on Associated Airlines, since the number of LATAM Pass Miles requested may vary for the same route.
9.1.16 The rewards issued are nominative and cannot be transferred to third parties, except in relation to point 9.1.9 of these Regulations.
9.1.17 LATAM Airlines reserve the right to withhold rewards in the event of any irregularity in their application or use. Any violation of these terms and conditions may result in LATAM Airlines refusing to issue a prize and / or at the end of a member's participation in the LATAM Pass program, immediately removing all LATAM Pass Miles on the account.
9.1.18 Rewards with Open Jaw: Open Jaw rewards are allowed only when they are within the same prize zone*. For prizes with Open Jaw in different areas, two prize claims will be made, for example:
- Santiago de Chile (SCL) - Cancun (CUN) / Miami (MIA) - Santiago de Chile (SCL), the following claims will be made: SCL-CUN-SCL and MIA-SCL-MIA.
- Santiago de Chile (SCL) - Punta Cana (PUJ) / Miami (MIA) - Santiago de Chile (SCL), the following claims will be made: Santiago de Chile - Punta Cana - Santiago de Chile and Miami - Santiago de Chile - Miami.

10.1 Members can request changes of an award ticket to the extent permitted and subject to the applicable fees, according to the fare conditions of the respective award.
10.2 Changes in LATAM Pass rewards can only be made through the Contact Center by paying the respective charge and as long as payment is made before the flight departs. Changes to the date and/or route are not possible after flight departure.
10.3 In general, with any class of LATAM Pass rewards, when exchanging one reward for another of fewer LATAM Pass Miles, the difference of LATAM Pass Miles will not be returned to members, unless they request a new change for a reward that requires an amount equal to or less than the LATAM Pass Miles used in the original reward; in which case they can use the balance in the second new reward. For subsequent date changes, the number of initial LATAM Pass Miles and the original expiration date will be maintained.
10.4 For changes in rewards consisting of airline tickets that are equivalent to a greater number of LATAM Pass Miles, the difference of LATAM Pass Miles must be deducted from the same account for which the original reward was claimed, which can only be for rewards with flights operated and marketed by LATAM Airlines, with valid tickets. For origin or destination changes, the ticket must be unused, and for changes that maintain the origin and destination, the ticket may have been partially used. Members must pay the differences in rates if they occur when making the change.
10.5 Voluntary changes must be made in the same class originally issued, unless the original class does not exist on the new flight. In this case, the reward may be issued for an inferior class, and members must renounce the difference of unused LATAM Pass Miles.
10.6 A change of date or flight of reward ticket tickets may be made if the conditions of its redemption allow it. Route changes are allowed if any of the coupons on your ticket have been used, as long as you maintain the same geographical area. Both these changes incur a relevant charge. The charge is variable depending on the country of issue of the ticket and the route. The fees for changes are published on our website. The rewards issued to be flown on Associated Airlines are subject to the same conditions specified above.
10.7 If you request a refund for a reward that was issued, you must pay a fee that varies depending on the type of reward, in accordance with the information published on our website. The return of a reward requires that the ticket issued is valid (the validity begins from the date of issue), and must take place before the departure of the flight and without any leg flown, and that the LATAM Pass Miles used for issue are not expired at the time of requesting the return. The refund may be requested online or through our Contact Center. Once the refund has been processed, the unexpired LATAM Pass Miles will be recredited to the member's LATAM Pass account, with their original validity.
10.8 In the event that a member requests the return of a non-flight reward, they shall not pay a fee in LATAM Pass Miles, unless otherwise established in the terms and conditions of the respective redemption.
10.9 Reward tickets are issued in a passenger's name, have no monetary value and are nontransferable. If a reward ticket is not used either totally or partially, for any reason and within the stipulated period and way, it will lose all value.
10.10 Notwithstanding the provisions stipulated in this section of the Regulations, all changes and refunds of prizes and / or benefits must be subject to the particular terms and conditions established for each prize, benefit, promotion or program.
10.11 In cases where the refund of a LATAM Pass reward applies, LATAM Airlines will refund the boarding fees or applicable taxes charged for the issue of the reward ticket within 5 to 15 business days (depending on the method of payment).
11.1 Airline ticket rewards are subject to space availability of seats with regard to seats available for redemption, which will be confirmed at the time of issue, and will be issued with the restrictions applicable to the rate as published on our web site.
11.2 The issue of open prizes, without a departure or arrival date, is not allowed.
11.3 In no case may rewards consisting of air tickets be used by other airlines other than those indicated in the reward. In the case of cancellation of the flight indicated in the Prize for reasons not attributable to LATAM Airlines, for security reasons or due to a fortuitous event or force majeure, LATAM Airlines will make the utmost effort to board the passenger on the next flight or on a combination of flights to transport them to the destination of the prize in question. In no case will the member be boarded on another airline for these or other reasons.
11.4 In the case of rewards consisting of airline tickets with flights that include connections with changes of airplane, accommodation expenses at the place of connection and any other expenses associated with it will be the exclusive responsibility of the passenger.
11.5 The prizes may not be combined with other promotions, coupons, discounts or special offers, they are not valid in any places where it is prohibited by law, and are subject to the industry's own restrictions.
11.6 The prizes awarded correspond exclusively to the net value of the fare, and the payment of any fee, tax, tribute and / or right imposed on its issue, including, but not limited to, the corresponding boarding fee, are the responsibility of the passenger.
11.7 It will be the sole responsibility of members to be adequately informed about all restrictions on the request and use of the prizes on the date of their use.
11.8 If the reward includes flights operated by Associated Airlines, it is the member's responsibility to be informed about the Conditions of Carriage of the airline operating the flight. This information is available on our website.
12.1 The courtesy coupons for a Cabin Upgrade grant passengers an Upgrade to the next highest class, in a flight operated and sold by LATAM Airlines on the outbound or inbound flight, subject to fulfilling the minimum fare groups corresponding to the route (in the case of a purchased ticket – not a reward ticket), to the number of coupons requested per route and the seat availability at the time of boarding. The courtesy coupons for a Cabin Upgrade may be applied for both with tickets that are purchased and those redeemed with LATAM Pass Miles.
12.2 Courtesy coupons for a Cabin Upgrade, regardless of the date they are redeemed, are valid until the expiration date indicated on the coupon.
12.3 The minimum fares required for the paid ticket are available on our website.
12.4 Upgrade coupons have no monetary value and will be void against any other type of redemption.
12.5 All courtesy coupons for Cabin Upgrades are exclusively for the member and/or their travel companion, and/or their direct family, as indicated on our website, for each membership category. A travel companion may use the courtesy coupon to request a Cabin Upgrade, provided they are traveling with the member (not necessarily in the same cabin class).
12.6 The conditions, channels and terms to apply for a Cabin Upgrade are available on our website.
12.7 The priority for requests will depend on how far ahead of time the member checks in, on seat availability of the flight and on the Elite category to which they belong. Those with Black Signature or Black categories will be given higher priority than those who make requests through the Upgrade Option. LATAM reserves the right to grant a Cabin Upgrade according to the aforementioned conditions and to give priority to other passengers who are not program members when due to security or other reasons.
12.8 For a purchased fare (not a prize), the miles for the ticket to which the member requests an Upgrade must be accredited in LATAM Pass and not another frequent flyer program.
13.1 Any change in the terms and conditions will be notified 30 calendar days in advance.
13.2 LATAM Airlines reserves the right to terminate or suspend the LATAM Pass program, or modify any part of it, including all prizes and/or benefits, and mechanisms for redeeming or transferring LATAM Pass Miles, at any time, in which case it will inform members through its platforms 30 calendar days in advance.
13.3 In the event that LATAM Airlines terminates or suspends the LATAM Pass Program, members may use their earned LATAM Pass Miles during the aforementioned 120-day term, in accordance with these Regulations. Without prejudice to the above, in the case that the termination of the program is due to the cessation of the operations of LATAM Airlines Group S.A. as an airline, or the declaration of bankruptcy or by an agreement, LATAM Airlines may terminate or suspend the LATAM Pass program, cancel and render valueless all LATAM Pass Miles, Qualifying Points, Qualifying Segments, prizes and benefits immediately, without prior notification to members.
13.4 LATAM Airlines is not responsible for any loss, damage, delay or damage caused to Members as a result of, or relating to, the LATAM Pass Program, or any benefit offered on the occasion thereof, unless the cause is liability, gross negligence and / or fraud of LATAM Airlines.
13.5 All prizes are subject to change and availability, and it is the exclusive responsibility of members to request the corresponding valid reservation and to fulfill all the other necessary stages for their use.
13.6 LATAM Airlines may subcontract the services of third party providers, either by providing and / or managing them in order to carry out the services and / or benefits offered by LATAM Airlines under the LATAM Pass Program. These third parties will be responsible for guaranteeing the fulfillment of their obligations, and the correct provision of the contracted services and / or benefits.
13.7 LATAM Airlines: (i) will not be responsible for, nor guarantee, the availability of benefits associated with the LATAM Pass Program that are provided by third-party providers; (ii) will not be responsible for any damage or loss that may result from the provision, or lack of provision, in whole or in part, of any benefit provided by a third party provider; and (iii) will not be responsible for third party providers leaving the LATAM Pass Program.
13.8 The provision or supply of prizes and/or benefits offered by Associated Airlines and/or by the associated companies will be subject to the terms and conditions enforced by that organization.
13.9 LATAM Airlines is not responsible for any loss, damage, delay or damage resulting from, or connected to the LATAM Pass program or any prize and/or benefit offered, except when such loss, damage, delay or damage is caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct of LATAM Airlines.
13.10 LATAM Airlines is not responsible for errors or omissions, which despite all the precautions taken, could occur in the information relative to any part of the LATAM Pass program. Nor is it responsible for the delay, loss or incorrect delivery of correspondence addressed to members.
13.11 All written communication from members addressed to the LATAM Pass program must bear their signature and membership number.
13. 12 Unless expressly authorized in writing by LATAM Airlines, the purchase, sale, redemption or transfer, by any member, of LATAM Pass miles, prizes and/or benefits is absolutely prohibited. In the event that any company or person that is caught buying, selling, exchanging or transferring prizes and/or benefits, LATAM Pass may be obliged to pay the full associated rate for damages caused and legal costs involved, all in accordance with the current legislation.
13.13 In the event of LATAM Pass prizes and/or benefits being sold or purchased for any reason without LATAM Airlines’ approval, the people found to be using these prizes will not be permitted to continue the trip or will stop receiving the service associated with the prize, except by paying the full rate due.
13.14 LATAM Airlines will not be responsible for prizes awarded by associated companies or Associated Airlines, the latter being solely responsible to a member for the prizes awarded.
13.15 Flights that appear in the account statements of the LATAM Pass program do not constitute any proof that the member actually took the indicated flight.
13.16 Regarding any redeeming of prizes and / or LATAM Pass benefits not made in person, for example, through our website or Contact Center, the right of withdrawal established in law 19.496 for non presential purchases will not apply. The above is without prejudice to those prizes and / or benefits in which a refund or retraction is expressly permitted under these Regulations, or in the terms and conditions that are applicable to them.
