Elite category extension 2022
We want you to continue to enjoy your Elite category benefits, which are deemed to expire in March 2022, for one more year
To keep your current membership through March 31, 2023 you only have to fly on a LATAM flight between September 1st and December 31, 2021.
In addition, if you have reached more than the required Qualifying Points or Segments to maintain or upgrade your category, or if you reach extra Qualifying Points or Segments before December 31, 2021, you will be rewarded with a bonus applicable to next year’s qualification. Any exceeding Points and/or Segments obtained during this year, will be rolled over and credited for your status qualification in 2022
- For example: if you need 10,000 Qualifying Points to maintain your current category and by the end of this year you have a total 15,000 points, the exceeding 5,000 Qualifying Points will be considered for next year’s status definition.
- The extension of the LATAM Pass categories considers the status reached in 2019 from the member's flight behavior. If a member obtained a higher category in 2020, the latter will be extended. Categories obtained as a courtesy are excluded from the extension.
- The option to extend the category applies to the individual listed on the ticket, regardless of who purchased the ticket, when it was issued, or whether it was paid or redeemed. The benefit is valid when flying at least one segment with LATAM, regardless of whether it is a domestic or international flight. Flights using courtesy tickets, COBUS (company business tickets), and Staff Travel are excluded. The flight must occur between September 1st and December 31, 2021, and its maximum accreditation date must be January 15, 2022.
