What are Qualifying Points?
Qualifying Points are the points you earn with your purchases, allowing you to reach Elite Categories and enjoy exclusive benefits, including LATAM Pass Bonus.
Unlike LATAM Pass Miles, these points cannot be redeemed and are used exclusively to qualify for Elite Categories.
What are the LATAM Pass Elite Categories?
Sign up for LATAM Pass for free. You start in the LATAM Category, and as you earn points, you can move up to the Elite Categories: Gold, Platinum, Black, and Black Signature. From the Gold Category onwards, you’ll enjoy exclusive benefits — and the more Qualifying Points you earn, the more advantages you’ll unlock as you move up to new categories.

Transition from Gold Plus Category
The Gold Plus Category is no longer part of the program, but its benefits will remain available until March 31, 2026. During the requalification for that period, you will not be able to keep this category, and the corresponding category will be assigned based on the Qualifying Points accumulated between January 1 and December 31, 2025.
How to maintain or change your Category
Qualification for Elite Categories is carried out in annual cycles. Each January 1 marks the beginning of a new qualifying year in LATAM Pass, giving you a new opportunity to earn Qualifying Points, maintain your Elite Category, or move up to a higher one.

When does the qualifying year start and end?
You can earn Qualifying Points between January 1 and December 31.
This total defines your Elite Category for the next requalification cycle, which always takes place on March 31 of the following year.
How long is your Category valid?
Once you reach the annual Qualifying Points goal, the Category you earn will be valid from April 1 of the following year through March 31 of the year after that.
Example: If you reach the goal to maintain the Platinum Category this year, your category will be renewed on April 1 of the following year and will remain valid until March 31 of the next year.
The same rule applies in the case of a category upgrade. The benefits of the new category will be available immediately after you reach the required goal.
When is my Category renewed?
Elite Categories are renewed on April 1, with the corresponding category awarded based on whether you met your Qualifying Points goal from the previous year.
