On the LATAM Airlines website or app, click "My Trips" and select the flight you want to apply for.
Select "Manage Trip" and then "Cabin Upgrade with segments." This section will show the number of segments available for upgrade based on your LATAM Pass status.
When accessing your flight, select "Apply for Premium Economy" or "Premium Business" based on the available cabin for your flight.
Select your name and those of any companions if you wish.
A message will appear confirming your request is complete. You can also track your place in line on the same site.
You will receive confirmation by email, along with a boarding pass update notification via the LATAM App or confirmation at the airport counter. If your application is not approved, your courtesy segments will be refunded within 24 hours.
To request an upgrade, you need 1 complimentary segment per flight. Depending on your Elite Category, you have segments available for flights within South America and also for flights outside the region. It is also possible to request upgrades for companions. In this case, 1 additional segment is used per companion.

It is important to note that these segments offered by the card are not cumulative with the segments you already have as an Elite Customer. If you qualify for both, don’t worry: to ensure the best experience, the higher value benefit will always apply.

To request, you must have completed check-in for the flight. Requests can be made between 48 and 2 hours before departure via the LATAM website or app, subject to seat availability in Premium Economy or Premium Business cabins.
Cabin upgrade requests are available starting from the Light fare for flights within South America and the Caribbean, and from the Standard fare for long-haul international and domestic flights in Brazil.
If your request is approved, you will be notified directly at the airport or by email starting 12 hours before your flight.

Yes. In some cases, it will not be possible to request an upgrade. Check to see if any of these apply to you:
Your Upgrade will be confirmed at the time of boarding on flights operated by LATAM Airlines Brazil/Paraguay. For flights operated by LATAM Airlines of other countries, if you apply for the upgrade between 12 and 48 hours beforehand, you will receive your confirmation 12 hours before your flight departure time.
No. The application for an Upgrade is valid for a single segment. One can apply for each of the Segments as long as the member has the necessary courtesy Segments and the fare purchased allows it.
If the Upgrade request is not approved, the client’s segments are returned to them within 2 days. This way you will then be able to apply for Upgrades on other flights.
Segments are valid for one year. You can get them renewed every year on April 1 (the year starts on April 1 and ends on March 31). Segments are not cumulative.
When you move up to a higher tier, you will be credited with the difference between the courtesy segments associated with your new tier and the segments you had in the previous tier.
For example, when upgrading from Black to Black Signature, you will receive an additional 6 courtesy segments (for destinations outside South America), which represents the difference between the 14 segments of the new tier and the 8 segments you had already received.
No. Courtesy segments are non-transferable, but you can share them with a travel companion.
No, baggage allowances are not granted. The Courtesy Cabin Upgrade benefit is accompanied by the benefits associated with the Premium cabin, such as: access to the VIP lounge, Premium boarding and Check-in, and Priority baggage, as long as the upgrade has been granted at the time of receive them.

With Instant Upgrade, you're guaranteed an immediate cabin change.
Simply select the available Upgrade option, click "Buy Now," review the details, and complete the payment.
After confirmation:
With the Upgrade by Auction, you place a bid and wait for confirmation.
Set the bid amount by moving the cursor, click "Place Bid," and submit.
Next:
Instant Upgrade: at the time of purchase.
Auction Upgrade: only if the bid is accepted.
You will receive a confirmation email. Your boarding pass will also be automatically updated with your new cabin.
